Day 18: Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone & the Circle of Life--Thursday, September 25, 2014Great to have you back with us this evening! We started the morning off at Hayden Valley and the bison had moved from the small rise to the meadow area. I’ll leave it at that. The fog in the valley provided us with some spectacular shots. Hope you enjoy them. Think misty air. Imagine early morning dew. We watched the fog lift with incredible gentleness. As far as the rest of the day? We earned our dinner! After Hayden Valley we had to take one more look at the Upper Falls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Gorgeous….memorable. Next stop Virginia Cascades a sweet 2.5 mile ride on a one-way road. Beautiful! Simply beautiful. Then our adventure started. We headed to Old Faithful via Norris and stopped at the Porcelain Geyser Basin and Back Basin at Norris. What a journey. Beautiful geysers and pools of unimaginable colors. Imagine shamrock green! Yes, check out the photos. Late in the afternoon we arrived at our cabin at the Old Faithful Lodge. Cute cabin. Imagine formica, double beds, and checkered curtains on a faux rust rod. Love it! Til tomorrow, Wishing you a wonderful day tomorrow, Love Ellie and Gary Lamar Valley, Yellowstone National Park Comments
