BARCELONA: DAY 73--BACK TO SCHOOL--Wednesday, January 7, 2015
BACK TO SCHOOL Good evening! Today we headed back to school. Although the break was great, I'm looking forward to the routine that we've had for the last two plus month. Class today was all about modal verbs. Do you know what a modal verb is? Keeping reading! Thanks Wikipedia! A modal verb (also modal, modal auxiliary verb, modal auxiliary) is a type of auxiliary verb that is used to indicate modality – that is, likelihood, ability, permission, and obligation. Examples include the English verbs can/could, may/might, must, will/would, and shall/should. We need to understand modal verbs so we can convey the meaning of the words, thus for example, explaining the difference between using the words "can" and "could." You can go to the store. (Permission) You could go to the store. (Ability) Well, that's all the excitement from here from today! Hugs, love and sending warmth from afar, Ellie and Gary
